El Salvador, the trailblazing nation in officially adopting Bitcoin as legal tender, once again captures attention in the cryptocurrency realm. In collaboration with My First Bitcoin, Bitcoin Beach, and the Ministry of Education, the country proudly announces the commencement of an ambitious pilot program. This groundbreaking initiative strives to introduce Bitcoin education in all schools across the nation by 2024.
Launched on the two-year anniversary of the groundbreaking Bitcoin Law, this program will train 150 public school teachers in Bitcoin fundamentals. Following their training, these educators will disseminate Bitcoin knowledge throughout the country, seamlessly integrating it into their respective curricula and classrooms.
A pivotal contributor to this initiative, My First Bitcoin, stands as a non-profit Bitcoin education-focused NGO deeply rooted in El Salvador. Having provided Bitcoin education to over 25,000 in-person students since 2021, their steadfast commitment to illuminating the masses about digital currency is evident. Their comprehensive 10-week Bitcoin Diploma, now in its 5th edition, has been adopted by the Ministry of Education as foundational material to structure the country’s curriculum.
